Prince Albert II of Monoco at Art of the Olympians, March 4-5; Symphony Society's Cape Harbour Yacht Hop, April 3
Cannes on the Caloosahatchee? The Riviera on the river? Take a European holiday without ever leaving Southwest Florida with two jet set-style events this spring.
First up, there are plans for His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco to visit Art of the Olympians in downtown Fort Myers March 4-5. Fort Myers native Liston Bochette, an artist and Olympian, enlisted his friend the prince’s help when the museum was getting off the ground and is working out the details of the visit.
The prince’s principality hosts a gathering of yachts each summer—Albert would feel right at home if he stays around until April 3, when the Symphony Society celebrates the end of its anniversary season with the area’s first yacht hop, the brainchild of symphony society supporter Jane Hudson.
Taking place at Cape Harbour in southwest Cape Coral, the benefit will showcase the latest, sleekest yacht models and tastings from top chefs.
Good food, good times and good causes — there’s no place like home for that ....
